Meet RIEEA board member Jen West! Jen is the Coastal Training Program Coordinator with the Narragansett Bay Research Reserve and joined the RIEEA board in 2018.
Meet RIEEA board member Gráinne Conley! Gráinne is the Education Program Manager at Save The Bay, where she was involved with RIEEA for several years. She started to become more active in 2018 by joining a RIEEA committee, which she calls a “wonderful opportunity”.
Each year, RIEEA recognizes educators, youth, organizations, and schools across Rhode Island who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and dedication to help their communities learn about the environment and engage in outdoor learning and recreation.

Meet RIEEA board member Abby Burrows! Abby is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Empirical Nature. She came to know about RIEEA through connections with the current board President, Jen West, and got involved by supporting smaller projects at the organization. In 2020 she was invited to become board member and eagerly accepted.
Meet RIEEA board member Ayana Melvan! Ayana has been involved with RIEEA for 8 years. Along with being a board member, she serves as a leader of our advocacy committee. She loves that RIEEA is committed to equity and inclusion in environmental education.
