With support from the Rhode Island Foundation, RIEEA has developed a series of lesson units aimed at increasing environmental literacy and workforce readiness among high school students in Rhode Island.

iPlan: Local Environmental Modeling for High School Students
These lesson units are designed to be highly relevant to Rhode Island communities, integrating classroom activities, outdoor experiential learning, and the use of iPlan, a free educational online tool that allows students to explore the challenges of land-use planning to address diverse issues in an immersive simulator based on real science.
The lesson units are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards and other state educational standards, ensuring that they complement and enrich existing curricula.
