At RIEEA, we work hard to have equitable employment and compensation practices, and we know many of our organizational members do the same.
We want to spend this month’s Virtual Lunch & Learn sharing experiences, ideas, and approaches you and your organizations have taken to create a more equitable hiring and employment experience. We also welcome sharing of challenges and less positive experiences that we can discuss as a group, and how we, as the field of environmental education, can do better.
The Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance has created a guidance document that we will discuss as a very useful tool to adapt and learn from for our own organizational purposes. For richer discussion, we ask that participants review eeGuidance for Equitable Pay and Hiring in Environmental Education prior to the event.
Our Virtual Lunch & Learn events welcomes all RIEEA community members who want to foster community, share resources, and help crowd source solutions to building a more equitable environmental education hiring and pay experience.
